Olympic champ Victoria Pendleton visits Faslane & inspires Royal Navy crews
Olympic cycling legend Victoria Pendleton spent two days at HM Naval Base Clyde last week in her new role as Honorary Colonel of the Royal Marine Reserves.
She arrived by Royal Marines vessel up the Clyde, met 43 Commando (who protect the UK’s nuclear deterrent), toured an Astute-class submarine, and led a spin class at the base gym.

They should have got her doing some wet and dry up in Kinlochleven to get the full effect.
Afterwards she headed to Loch Lomond to train with the HMS Oardacious team, who are preparing to row more than 3,000 miles across the Atlantic in December for the World’s Toughest Row.
Pendleton shared practical advice on endurance, mindset and recovery drawn from her two Olympic golds and nine world titles.
She didn't give advice on playing dice or nails.
Personnel described her visit as a real boost down-to-earth, inspiring, and perfectly timed as the rowers finalise their preparations.
I say one in all in.
Get her rowing.
She'll need a phys top if she's going to be cracking spin classes on camp as well.
One of these will work.
